Artists

Wensong Bai

Bai Wensong is a master's student majoring in Guqin performance at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He studied under Ms. Liu Li, president of the New York Guqin Research Association, and Professor Dai Xiaolian, a doctoral supervisor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He has won awards in the New York and Shanghai "Magnolia" International Music Competitions, and the Singapore Nanyang International Music Competition, and is a recipient of the Shanghai Municipal Government Scholarship for Foreign Students. During his time in China, he participated in the Shanghai Concert Hall's "Music Afternoon Tea" Guqin concert, the "Tracing the Roots, Returning to the Source" Shanghai Conservatory of Music National Instrumental and Vocal Music Collaborative Art Concert, and the "18th Auspicious Time and Beautiful Scenery Prince Gong's Mansion Intangible Cultural Heritage Performance Season." During his time in the United States, he has given Guqin performances and lectures at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, the Consulate General of China in New York, Lincoln Center, the China Institute, Rutgers University, and the New York Public Library, among other venues.

白文松,现就读于上海音乐学院古琴表演专业,硕士研究生。先后师从纽约古琴研究会会长刘丽女士,上海音乐学院博士生导师戴晓莲教授,曾在纽约,上海「白玉兰」,新加坡南洋国际音乐比赛中获奖,上海市外国留学生政府奖学金获得者。在中国期间参演过上海音乐厅「音乐午茶」古琴专场音乐会,「溯本·归源」上海音乐学院民族器乐民族声乐合作艺术专场音乐会,「第十八届良辰美景·恭王府非遗演出季」。 在美期间曾在纽约联合国总部,中国驻纽约总领馆,林肯中心,华美协进社,新泽西州立罗格斯大学,纽约公共图书馆等地进行过古琴演出与专题讲座。


Tao Chen

Chen Tao: an internationally acclaimed Chinese flutist, music educator, composer and conductor of Chinese orchestra, is the founder and director of the Melody of Dragon, Inc., co-founder and director of Melody of Dragon & the Youth, the artistic director and conductor of the Chinese Music Ensemble of New York and conductor of New Jersey Buddha’s light Youth Chinese Orchestra. The executive chairman of NY Chinese Music Instruments International Competition since 2015 and Artistic director of New York Guqin Association. Currently, he serves as Professor and Music director of Chinese ensemble at Bard College. He is also the 27th generation musician of Zhi-Hua Buddhism Music. Before coming to the US, Chen Tao was an Associate Professor at the Central Conservatory of Music, a member of the Chinese Musicians Association and a member of the Chinese Folk Wind and String Instrument Association.  

陈涛,著名中国笛演奏家、音乐教育家、作曲家及中国民族乐团指挥。美国神州中乐团(Melody of Dragon, Inc.)创办人兼艺术总监、美国神州青少年乐团联合创始人及总监、纽约中国民族乐团艺术总监兼指挥、美国新泽西佛光少年民族乐团指挥。自2015年以来担任纽约中国民族乐器国际比赛执行主席,同时兼任纽约古琴协会艺术总监。现为美国巴德学院(Bard College)中国乐团教授,研究生导师及音乐总监,同时是北京智化寺音乐第二十七代传人。在赴美之前,陈涛曾任中央音乐学院副教授,是中国音乐家协会及中国民族管弦乐学会会员。


Shiqi Zhong

Shiqi Zhong is an acclaimed percussionist and DMA candidate at New York University, recognized for his extensive cross-cultural expertise and academic background in percussion. His varied career spans world, classical, contemporary, and popular music, showcasing his versatility and commitment to advancing the art of percussion. A graduate of the China Conservatory of Music Affiliated Middle School, Juilliard Pre-College, Curtis Institute of Music, Yale School of Music, and New York University, Shiqi Zhong’s comprehensive education forms the bedrock of his emerging career. In 2021, he was honored as one of the top ten outstanding Chinese youth in the United States, acknowledging his remarkable achievements and influence in the field of percussion.

钟世祺,职业打击乐演奏家,音乐制作人。他长期活跃于欧美与亚洲主流音乐舞台,演出经验丰富,多次在卡内基音乐厅、联合国总部、中国驻纽约总领馆受邀表演。他以卓越的演奏技巧与创新的作曲技法广泛赞誉,表演风格横跨古典、现代、实验与跨界领域,是当代兼具技术深度与艺术表现力的打击乐艺术家之一。毕业于世界知名音乐学府如耶鲁,茱莉亚与柯蒂斯音乐学院。现任IHS国际手碟协会副会长、纽约大学打击乐(手碟教育研究)博士候选人。


Tiffany Wu

Harpist Tiffany Wu’s classical background serves as the technical foundation for her diverse career in symphonic music, opera, musicals, pop, contemporary music, and more. Her performances with the Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra, United Nations Orchestra, and more have brought her to some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world. She holds performance degrees from Northwestern University and New York University, and her principal teachers include Lyric Opera harpists Elizabeth Cifani and Lynn Williams, and jazz harpist Brandee Younger.

竖琴家 Tiffany Wu (吴欣颖)的古典音乐背景,为她多元的职业生涯奠定了技术基础,涵盖交响乐,歌剧,音乐剧,流行乐,当代音乐等领域。她曾与布鲁克林室内乐团 (Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra)、联合国乐团 (United Nations Orchestra) 等团体合作演出,足迹遍及世界上一些最负盛名的音乐厅。她拥有西北大学 (Northwestern University) 和纽约大学 (New York University) 的表演学位,她的主要老师包括抒情歌剧院竖琴家 Elizabeth Cifani和 Lynn Williams,以及爵士竖琴家 Brandee Younger。
