Imperial Assam & Lapsang Souchong: Black Tea Tasting with Master Wan Di

  • 7s Art Labo 36 East Broadway, Second Fl New York, NY, 10002 United States (map)

About the Event

Join us at 7s Art (七堂) for an intimate one-hour journey into the world of rich, full-bodied black teas. Guided by Tea Master Wan Di, you will explore two exceptional teas crafted for depth, comfort, and soothing aroma.

Whether you are a seasoned tea enthusiast or looking to expand your palate, this tasting offers a rare opportunity to learn the stories, processing styles, and brewing techniques behind these iconic leaves.

The Tasting Selection

01 / Imperial Assam

A good black tea should be strong, full-bodied, and hold up effortlessly on its own. This Assam checks every box for an exceptional cup. Featuring a deep, dark fragrance and heavy taste, this tea retains its signature strength without the bitter aftertaste found in most English blends. It can be brewed light or strong, served hot or chilled, and pairs wonderfully with or without milk.

02 / Lapsang Souchong

A soothing, smoky classic with a fruit-accented twist. While famous in Fujian, this selection is sourced from Anhui and crafted to enhance its signature smoky aroma without harshness. The final touch includes the subtle addition of longans and red dates, resulting in a smooth, sweet, and comforting finish.
