About This Event
As one of the most influential scriptures in Mahayana Buddhism, the Heart Sutra offers profound insight into the nature of reality and the essence of wisdom. In this contemplative salon, Buddhist philosophy meets the art of calligraphy.
Participants will learn foundational brush techniques and apply them in the practice of sutra copying — a meditative process that invites stillness, reflection, and clarity. Through writing, we engage both discipline and presence.
At 7s Art Studio, the experience is designed to be immersive and sensory. Thoughtful spatial arrangement, subtle sound, incense, tea, and the tactile rhythm of brush on paper come together to create an atmosphere of quiet focus.
The session will also include time for discussion and shared reflection. All materials — brushes, ink, and paper — will be provided. Each participant will leave with their own handwritten sutra.
