Experience the refined art of Chaozhou Gongfu Tea through an intimate cultural tea gathering at 7s Art.
Led by Qiong Yu, a recognized practitioner of Chaozhou Gongfu Tea Art and a third-generation inheritor in the lineage of renowned Phoenix Dancong tea master Chen Xiangbai, this special session presents the ritual, philosophy, and sensory beauty of one of China’s most treasured tea traditions.
Guests will witness a complete demonstration of the traditional 21-step Chaozhou Gongfu Tea ceremony, explore the cultural spirit behind the practice, and taste a curated selection of premium Phoenix Dancong teas from Chaozhou’s renowned Phoenix Mountain region.

01 / Live Demonstration of the 21-Step Chaozhou Gongfu Tea Ceremony
Qiong Yu will perform the complete 21-step Chaozhou Gongfu Tea ceremony, guiding guests through each refined stage of the process — from preparing the utensils to serving and savoring the tea.
Every movement is deliberate and graceful, revealing the precision, rhythm, and ritual beauty of Chaozhou Gongfu Tea, a tradition recognized as part of China’s National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
02 / Guided Introduction to Chaozhou Gongfu Tea Culture
This guided cultural introduction will trace the historical roots and brewing philosophy of Chaozhou Gongfu Tea.
Guests will learn about the core spirit of the practice — harmony, respect, refinement, and joy — and gain a deeper understanding of how Chaozhou tea culture brings together hospitality, mindfulness, craftsmanship, and shared appreciation.
03 / Curated Tasting of Premium Phoenix Dancong Teas
Guests will be invited to taste three carefully selected, high-quality Phoenix Dancong teas from the core growing region of Phoenix Mountain in Chaozhou.

Lao Cong Mi Lan Xiang
An award-winning old-bush “Honey Orchid” Dancong, known for its lingering honeyed aroma and elegant floral character. This tea received the Grand Gold Award at the inaugural Chaozhou Phoenix Dancong Tea International Competition in 2024.
Da’an Song Zhong
A rare and full-bodied Dancong cultivar admired for its depth, smooth texture, and refined complexity.
Wild Hongyin
A distinctive wild tea with vibrant energy, layered aroma, and a powerful lingering finish.
Through this tasting, guests will experience the signature floral fragrance, old-bush depth, and returning sweetness that define authentic Phoenix Dancong tea.
About the Instructor
Qiong Yu
Qiong Yu is a Chaozhou Gongfu Tea Art Intangible Cultural Heritage practitioner and Vice President of the Shenzhen Chaoshan Young Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce.
Qiong Yu
A graduate of Fudan University, Qiong Yu previously served as Sales Director for P&G China. Since beginning her entrepreneurial journey in 2014, she has successfully built multiple brands from the ground up to significant commercial scale. Under her leadership, her brands have received honors including “Top 10 Most Loved Cross-Border Brands by Consumers,” “Emerging Brand of the Year,” and “Most Popular Trend Brand.”
During the pandemic, she founded the tea brand Xiao Qiong Da Fu, dedicated to promoting Chaozhou intangible cultural heritage and supporting the development of Phoenix Dancong tea from her hometown. In 2024, the brand received the Grand Gold Award and Tea King honor at the inaugural Chaozhou Phoenix Dancong Tea International Competition.
Qiong Yu is a nationally recognized inheritor of Chaozhou Gongfu Tea Art, a third-generation disciple in the lineage of Dancong tea master Chen Xiangbai, and a National Senior Tea Evaluator.
She has also been honored as an “Intangible Cultural Heritage Ambassador” and a “Special Envoy for Chaozhou Cultural Promotion,” and was featured in The Heirs of Tea, a documentary series by CCTV Documentary Channel.
