Discover the edible poetry of traditional confections at 7s Art’s Seasons in Sweets: Late Summer Wagashi Workshop. This hands-on experience offers more than dessert—it’s a journey into the seasonal beauty, cultural symbolism, and refined artistry of wagashi.
Led by NYC-based tea dessert artist Xinxin He, you’ll create four wagashi designs that evoke the mood of early autumn:
Hydrangea (紫阳) – lingering bloom from summer
Lily (百合) – pure and fragrant autumn flower
Lovestruck Heart (恋心) – gentle affection in the breeze
Morning Glory (朝颜) – poetic bloom of early fall mornings
Each sweet is a meditation on form, color, and emotion—capturing fleeting beauty in edible form.
No experience is needed. All tools and materials will be provided, and participants will take home their handmade creations in elegant packaging.
This is the perfect weekend activity to explore traditional East Asian aesthetics, meet creative people, and savor something meaningful and sweet.
