Tang Poetry Copying in Calligraphy: A Salon of Poetry, Stillness, and Reflection

  • 7s Art Labo 36 East Broadway, 2nd Fl New York, NY, 10002 United States (map)

Join us on August 24th at 7s Art for an afternoon immersed in brush, ink, and ancient verse.

In this salon, we will explore the elegance and emotional resonance of Tang poetry—works from some of China’s greatest poets such as Li Bai, Wang Wei, and Du Fu. You’ll learn fundamental brush techniques, understand poetic meanings, and slowly copy selected poems while surrounded by soft incense, ambient music, and soothing tea.

Rather than rushing to write, this is a time to breathe, feel, and express. In each stroke lies the poet’s emotion—and your own.

This experience is ideal for those seeking tranquility, cultural immersion, or creative reflection.

All materials (brushes, ink, rice paper, and selected poems) will be provided. Participants are welcome to take home their finished work.
