Jin Jun Mei Black Tea
Special black tea harvested from the natural reserve of Wuyi Mountain - Tongmu Village, at an altitude of 800 to 1,000 meters, where the original wild small-leaf tea bushes grow. It is a representative of high-end black tea in Fujian and has now become one of the most expensive varieties of black tea in China, ideal for gift giving.
The brew is bright reddish in color, fruity and flowery in flavor with a long-lasting sweet after-taste. The tea is very resistant to brewing. It can be brewed 12 times and the taste remains full and sweet.
Region
Tongmu Village, Wuyi Mountain, Fujian Province, China
Harvest time
May 2023
Size
Single serving, 6g (0.21oz).
Recommended Brewing Method
Use a 120ml gaiwan/teapot for the single serving size of Jin Jun Mei (0.21oz). Rinse the tea before the first brew and immediately drain the water - this will help to clean the tea leaves from dust and particles and fully uncover the flavor and aroma of the drink. Steep the tea for 10 seconds with hot water above 203°F (95℃). Add about 5 seconds to every subsequent brew depending on how strong you would like the tea to be. The tea can be brewed 12 times.
Storage Method
Protect tea leaves from exposure to air, heat, light, and moisture.
